課程概述

The following topics will be covered in this course. This course will be conduced in a flipped classroom.

1) Introduction
a) Mobility
2) Kinematic Analysis of Mechanisms
a) Graphical Analysis
b) Analytical Analysis
3) Gears
a) Gear Types
b) Gear Trains
4) Cams 

課程目標
The course will help you learn the analysis of motions of linkages, gear sets, and cams. You will learn about the analysis of displacement, velocity, and acceleration of mechanisms by using graphical and analytical methods. You will be asked to think about the real-world engineering applications of the mechanisms. The course will cover the kinematic analysis by using Autodesk Inventor. 
課程要求
The marking scheme may vary and will be finalized in the first lecture.
Midterm Exam x 2 25% each
Final Exam 25%
Final Project 25%

In the final project, you will be asked to use a software (Matlab, Inventor, Creo, etc) to analyze the motion of a mechanism upon your choice to acquire meaningful results. Each group contains no more than 3 people. The project requires a oral presentation and a report.
